Procedure for submitting an application

Applications for under-graduation course will be eligible for consideration/considered for the Tata Scholarship if they have completed the admission application and have applied for financial aid. The international student financial aid application process must be completed by all undergraduate applicants. Students who have been accepted to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning will be given preference; the School of Designing; the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business’s major in Applied Economics and Management; and majors in social sciences, physical sciences, biological sciences, and other “hard” sciences across colleges.

To apply for the Tata Scholarship at Cornell University, applicants must submit:

  • Scanned copies of academic records and transcripts
  • Parent and student income information
  • Photocopy of passport or citizenship documents
  • Proof of permanent residency in India
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Admission Offer Letter from Cornell
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Statement of Purpose or personal letter
  • Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Medical certificates to prove fitness to travel and study.
