Canada receives 4.3 lakh new permanent residents in 2022, sets immigration record - Universal Dream Services

The Canadian government on Tuesday announced that it received 431,645 new permanent residents in 2022.

Canada welcomed such a large number of newcomers was in 1913, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

In 2022, IRCC processed approximately 5.2 million applications for permanent residence, temporary residence and citizenship.

By 2036, immigrants will represent up to 30 per cent of Canada's population, compared with 20.7 per cent in 2011.
